about
From my birth in 1952 to the present, my history is with music, movies and art. In my 20’s, I discovered John Coltrane, Martin Scorsese, Rauschenberg and Warhol in Japan.
Then came to New York, inspired by Schnabel, Basquiat and Keith Haring. But then I lost sight of why I wanted to do art.
After a long break of 20 years, an idea suddenly came to me. It was the "Flower of Capitalism Series," which was not intended to directly criticize capitalism, but to be an opportunity to think about it. But it was not easy to find a place to exhibit my work. So I decided to do it like a street musician.
And so the "Mobile Gallery Project" was born. Last year, when my 71st birthday came, the "Neo-Surrealism Series" suddenly began. The thing I had been chasing for so many years was actually within my reach.
Art is not something sublime, it is something that is closest to me. I took a really long detour before I realized that. But now I am very happy and satisfied. I also really hope that many people will see my doodle works and feel the same way as I do.
